Ukraine Child #42086 – $29 per month
Myrskykh family lives in Kyiv, Ukraine. Like many other Ukrainian families, several generations of the family live in the same apartment: Iryna’s mother, Iryna and her seven children, and Iryna’s two sisters with their families. All total – fourteen people living in two room apartment.
Iryna’s husband doesn’t live with the family and doesn’t help them. Iryna takes care of the children and her mother helps her. The situation in the family is very difficult. There is barely any place to walk in this apartment. Children don’t have enough to eat. Their clothes are very bad.
Older children – Timur, Viktoriya, Oleksiy, and Anna go to school. Kostyantyn is in the kindergarten and two younger ones – Sofimari and Andriyan – stay at home with their mother.
Kostyantyn is a bright boy. He talks like an adult person and his old brothers and sisters respect and love Kostya (short for Kostyantyn). They call him “kitten” (in Ukrainian language the pronunciation of “kitten” is close to pronunciation of his name). Kostya likes playing with his toys. Cats and dogs are also his big friends. Health wise the boy is not good. His left eye doesn’t see because of a growth. He needs a medical examination, but the family doesn’t have money for it.
Mercy Projects conducts a Child Sponsorship project in Ukraine to keep children at home with their mother or family members. Our goal is to keep children out of orphanages and home with family. Child Sponsorship supports the entire family and is the first step to bringing hope and health to these needy children.
When Mercy Projects coordinator Roza told the family about Christian camps, that Mercy Projects provides for children in winter and summer, all family members got very excited. They would like to go to Christian camp. They need a lot of prayers and help, any kind of support would be a blessing for them.
Please, pray for this big family, for them to know the Lord and His Love, for the health of all family members.
