Sofia Gram

Ukraine Child #42072 – $29 per month

There are seven people in the Gram family: father, mother, three boys and two girls. The father’s sister, also lives with them. Their house is very little with only two rooms.

The family lives in a small village Bilozirye (White Lake) in Cherkassy region, South-East Ukraine. Father Vyacheslav grows fruit and vegetables and sells it, and mother Nadia is on maternity leave with the youngest son Ivan.

Sofia is nine years old now. She is a very active girl, likes to play with her older sister Violeta, likes to run and jump, and never stays still. Two times a week she goes to dance classes at her school. The girl also likes playing with her dolls. While playing she copies her mother caring for her younger brother Oleksandr and Ivan.

The whole family attends local church. Sasha with his two older sisters Sofia and Violeta goes to Sunday school, and they call it “Children’s Club”. They like listening to Bible stories there, play games and sing songs.

The family asks to pray for the health of the aunt as she is very sick and for peace in Ukraine.

Mercy Projects conducts a Child Sponsorship project in Ukraine to keep children at home with their mother or family members. Our goal is to keep children out of orphanages and home with family. Child Sponsorship supports the entire family and is the first step to bringing hope and health to these needy children.

Sponsorship of Sofia would be an encouragement and a blessing to this big family. Please keep them in your prayers.
